Watches for Bosses: Blue is the New Black!

Whenever I am enquired for the ‘best dress watches for men’, I am usually given certain criteria to keep in mind while suggesting ‘good options’. A case in point: A friend, who is building a promising startup and has already been valued for billions of dollars, consulted me for a ‘great watch’ that he can wear with his suit, for the next big investor meeting. “It should be Black or Brown or Steel. It should be different”, he demanded! Now, Are those the only colours that can be detected, by investors? As blatant as I am with my comments and suggestions, I advised him “If you want people to notice that your project is truly unique, you’ve got to convey so, in your first impression. Suit up dapper and be unique!”

Blacks and Browns are passé ! Blue is the new Black. I mean THIS Blue Hublot watch is the new Black! See to believe..

Hublot, a watch brand popular for its sporty-look watches, like the Big Bang and King Power collections, also makes classy watches like this blue Hublot watch. From the Classic Fusion Collection, ‘Hublot Classic Fusion Blue’ is a dapper watch to refreshingly replace the regular fare of dress watches, in your closet. The version seen in pictures, riding in the jaw-dropping Rolls Royce Phantom Series II, is the Titanium version of Hublot Classic Fusion Blue. Wrapped around the wrist with a Blue rubber and Alligator strap, Hublot watch is well balanced with a strong colour and minimalist aesthetics.

What strikes out, even in this minimalistic design is the ‘sunray’ dial. I love it! it is youthful, dapper, sophisticated and far from boring! Inside the dial are hour markers with the utilitarian, applique design. Hands and hour markers, both are coated in Rhodium. The signature 6 H-shaped Titanium screws, adds glamour to the bezel.

Functionally, Hublot Classic Fusion Blue offers Hours, Minutes, Seconds and Date. The same watch is also available in a chronograph version with sub dials. The Hublot Classic Fusion Blue is powered by ‘HUB 1112 Automatic movement’ that can reserve mechanical power energy for good 42 hours. Both Hublot Classic Fusion Blue and Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Blue are available in King Gold/ Red Gold or Titanium versions. The Classic Fusion collection is from the latest 2015 crop of Hublot watches.
