Would you spend $461,000 (four hundred, six one thousand dollars) on a pair of Real gold Apple earpods?! Even if they are designed by  Sir Jonathan Ive, Senior VP of Design at Apple ? Auctioned for a good cause – the RED auction by Jony and Marc Newson, these earpods were the centre of a bidding war at Sotheby’s New York. The solid real gold Apple earpods are 47 inches long! They commanded almost 18 times more than pre-auction estimate of $25000. This pair of pure rarity sold for € 335,290. Th Rose real gold Apple inc. earpods are 47 inches long!!! The pair comes with a custom display case.

Now, this is pure rarity! Designed by Sir Jonathan Ive, Senior VP of Design, at Apple – is a precious pair of Earpods. Made of solid Rose Gold, they are no less than a rare piece-of-art, at an auction.

What makes these earpods more precious, is that Jony Ive collaborated with U2 front-man Bono, to create them! There is only one pair made. Somethign you will never find in any Apple store. There were several admirers of the unique real gold Apple earpods, at Sotheby’s auction.

Benefits of sale will be donated towards a global fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria. Red auction was held on November 23 in new York and displayed the most unique and foremost products from a collaboration between Mark Newson, Jonathan Ive and U2’s Bono.

The auction included several other interesting products and gadgets and gather a much deserved $13 Million worth of charity.
