Fancy a Hotel room, ‘nestled’ in the middle of a forest? Like literally!

The Bird’s Nest is one of the most stunning architectures of  ‘The Tree Hotel’, a luxury hotel placed in the middle of Sweden’s tall Pine forests.

Situated about an hour away from Kallax airport, the Hotel boasts of 5 rooms, ready to live in. Each room has its own distinct design. They are constructed to look like- objects hanging in the air, between tall trunks of pine trees! The luxury here is to be able to live in-between trees!

Placement of all the rooms, at such height, is to allow spectacular views of the overlooking Lule River.

How does one get inside the room held in the air? Well, there is no way yet, to fly into it! Instead, a retractable stairway is the only  way to enter. The ‘nest’ is 17 meter square and believe it or not, it has enough space to squeeze in two bedrooms, a bathroom and lounge!

The Bird’s Nest is made with unbelievable detailing. It is made to camouflage its own and its inhabitant’s existence, in the gorgeous surroundings. This nest has windows too, smartly hidden against the nest-work on the outside. Room is built to fit 4 people in 4 beds. Interiors are custom-made, to be environment friendly.

Price of the Nest, for one person is 3300 Swedish Kronor or about US$500. However, there are offers and discounted rates available, depending on number of inhabitants and season of stay.

The Mirror Cube

It looks like a camouflaged object, floating in the air, right out of a Harry Potter movie. Look closer and realise the simple, yet brilliant imagination of the architect who designed and built this room, at the Tree Hotel, in Sweden.

The Mirror Cube’s primary motive is to mix with the surrounding as if it were a part of the forest. Constructed to cause minimal harm to its environment, the cube has infrared film active around it, to repel birds from flying into the walls.

Passage to get inside the room is via a short foot-bridge.
