The pioneer in Pilot watches, Breitling has crafted the new Navitimer Cosmonaute Blacksteel. Breitling will produce only 1000 of these mechanical chronographs, in steel case and black dial. The Navitimer, remarkably, in history has proved to be an aviator’s truthful companion. In 1962, the predecessor of this watch, was worn by Lt Commander Scott Carpenter who orbited the earth, three times. He chose the Navitimer with a 24-hour graduation to distinguish between night and day.

More than half a decade later, the navitimer Cosmonaute is back in a new avatar – the new Navitimer Cosmonaute Blacksteel. Carbon based coating, is used to give its steel case an all black colour. The insides too are jet black with the necessary luminescent indication and red hands. What makes this watch a true companion for pilots, is the famous Navitimer circular slide rule that lets an aviator perform the entire range of calculations relating to airborne navigation directly on the wrist.

The engraved caseback bears the official Aurora 7 mission insignia. Navitimer Cosmonaute is also available in 18K red gold case.
