Designed to be the centre piece of your living room, these speakers will woe at first glance.

‘Transformations’ is a limited edition of twenty BeoLab-12 speakers, accompanied by Aluminium Canvas paintings , that completes the whole look of the audio system.

The gentle cascading shades of colour on ‘Transformations’ pieces is inspired by the ‘eternity of metals’ and ‘gradation of colours’. The surface of metal changes and transforms constantly like light, and artist Miya Ando has used this very quality of metal to colour contour Aluminium canvases that compliment the limited edition speakers.

Bang and Olusfen Limited Edition Speakers

Ando has transformed plates of anodized aluminium into ephemeral, abstract paintings. The paintings are done by hand. Miya Ando is a descendant of Bizen sword makers from Japan and has utilised the traditional techniques of the region, combined with industrial technology to create the perfect effect on the aluminium canvas.

Bang and Olufsen, too has been using aluminium for 50 years, as a core metal for its outstanding audio designs. Apart from being an acoustically almost perfect material, it is also 100 % recyclable.

Availability: The limited edition ‘Transformations’ speaker sets will be available at select Bang and Olufsen stores.

Price: Will an audiophile have to drop a million bucks to own the limited edition speakers? The price will be ascertained after an auction of Miya Ando’s BeoLab creations to B&O dealers, soon.

About BeoLab 12: BeoLab 12 are a fantastic set of speakers from B&O, they can be combined with TV and Audio systems. What makes BeoLab-12 work is – Acoustic Lens Technology. It directs audio in a clear, 180 degree horizontal arc around the room. The best acoustic effect comes by minimising reflections from the floor or ceiling.
