IWC Chronograph Watch 2014 Portofino reference 3910 has two new variants in Rose Gold. It’s a pleasant change from the standard stainless steel cases for the reference 3910. The timeless elegance of the Portofino is now classier than ever.
The design cues on the Portofino Chronograph are reminiscent of cockpit of Italian sports cars’ of the 60’s. Yet it will pull of as a sharp dress watch with penchant. At 42 mm, it’s right in the middle of its smaller (40mm) and bigger (45 mm) sibling. It is also the only chronograph in the Portofino range.
The self winding 75320 calibre runs both chronographs. This is a modified Valjoux 7750 calibre made by ETA. The calibre has been made as per specifications by IWC. On offer is 44 hours of power reserve. Besides the hours and minute’s hand, the small seconds’ dial is positioned at 9’oclock. Minute recorder is at 12’oclock. Hour tracker at 6’oclock allows time keeping. Day and date window at 3’oclock completes a well-balanced look. The clean, sharp hands offer great readability without sacrificing attractive aesthetics of the watch. Dial of IWC Chronograph Watch 2014 remains crisp, functional and simple.

Sitting at 13.5 mm, the case dimension conflicts with it sleek appearance. A convex, double coated antireflective sapphire glass looks stunning. The watch is tested for water resistance for up to 3 bars under test conditions. A representative Portofino site has been beautifully engraved on the back case.
