HUBLOT BRAZIL FOOTBALL WATCH 2014-2

Green and yellow coloured chronograph display, is quite prominent and clearly indicative of watch’s explicit function. This radial display is designed to time a football match. Do you see a red coloured 45 minute mark there? It represents half time of a football match. Another 15 minutes are added to count extra-time.

Using this chronograph is surprisingly simple. Green hand and green small counters are to count seconds. Yellow hands and counters are for minutes.

Press the green stop/start button to begin, timing match. Seconds hand will run to and fro, from ‘0’ to ’60’ mark, on the coloured radial, with the help of retrograde (the hands return to their starting points at lightning speed) mechanism that controls it.  Yellow chronograph minutes-hand also makes the same retrograde movement.

To count the next half of the game, simply push the 2 o’clock , green pusher, twice. A small window made near 12 O’Clock position shows which half-time is being timed on watch.

This is the first time Hublot has used a bi-retrograde movement on a watch. A retrograde movement requires more energy because of its constant to and fro motion. This is a bi-retrograde movement on a mechanical watch and thus needs rational supple of power and energy to function, effectively. Hublot developed a new automatic HUB1260 manufacture movement: a bi-retrograde movement with central chrono comprising 385 components, to do just that.

Apart from chronograph function, Hublot football watch also tells time through another conspicuous dial, on watch. Principal dial can be seen at 6 O’clock encircled in rose gold ring. Here, the wearer can read minutes and hours. The seconds are shown by a small sector-shaped counter;  a three-spoke hand positioned at 9 o’clock which rotates permanently and allows the wearer to see at a glance that the movement is working correctly. Hublot ‘Soccer Bang’ can collect power reserve of approximately 72 hours.

Hublot futebol watch is clean and well engineered. Hublot official FIFA watch is uncomplicated despite its uncommon chrono features.
