Bentley For Breitling : When a Swiss Watch Inspires a Luxury Car

We have often seen watchmakers build timepieces, dedicated to cars. Tag Heuer has been making watches in collaboration with F1. Hublot has excelled in bringing the Italian flair of Ferrari to our wrists. However, Swiss watchmaker Breitling has taken ‘collaborations’ to the next level. How? Well, Breitling and Bentley have reversed the tradition. This time around, it isn’t Breitling for Bentley. Instead, Bentley has come out with a limited edition Breitling car ! Bentley for Breitling  Continental GT Speed is designed around the Swiss watchmaker’s design theme!

Breitling and Bentley have been partners for the better part of the decade, as Breitling had also played a very important role in designing the Bentley Continental GT, in 2002. Looking at the success of 2002 Continental GT, Bentley has dedicated one more model, as an ode to the partnership!

The Bentley Continental GT Speed Breitling Jet Team Series was unveiled amongst much awe and excitement at the Seattle Boeing Seafair Airshow. There is one thing that everybody loves about the luxury brands, and that is style and flair! Unveiling of the new Bentley Breitling car didn’t disappoint either! The owners of the new Continental GT 2015, were presented the keys, by Jet pilots, along with a very special gift from Breitling; a Chronomat 44 Breitling Jet Team limited edition timepiece! And it doesn’t end here. Each of the owners got a golden chance to experience the thrill of jet aviation! The ultimate portrayal of skill and showmanship by Breitling and Bentley will surely be talked about for months to come. 

Coming to the bespoke Bentleys, these cars have been instilled with the essence of the Jet Team to the core. Designed by the Mulliner design program, the cars boast of special interior materials reminiscent of the Breitling Jet Team aircrafts! Impeccable sophistication coupled with precision engineering. Well, that is what Bentley is known for! And for the much sought after exclusivity, these cars have been numbered according to their place in the limited production run. The cars are limited to the number of aircrafts in the Breitling Jet team. Being the fastest Bentley in production, with a twin turbo, 6.0 litre engine, producing a massive 626 hp, capable of reaching 206 mph, it was simply logical that Continental GT Speed get the Breitling Jet Team treatment.

The exterior of Bentley Continental GT Speed Breitling Jet Team Series, boasts of several new design elements. Of course, Breitling essence shows quite prominently. Special seats are accented with the Breitling signature yellow. If the exclusivity of these cars were to fall short, the exclusive timepieces accompanying each of the cars are enough to catapult you into many a collector clubs! The Chronomat 44 Jet Team edition features the Jet Team logo on the dial. The special limited edition Breitling watch has a sleek black case. Onyx black dial and yellow accents only add to the flair. The case back features an American tour logo, along with limited edition numbering.
