Baselworld 2016 HYT H1 All Gold Watch With Black Fluid

No matter how outstanding the innovations in a Swiss watch are, fact is, there are several buyers who will only pick the watch if it is all gold! Which is why no matter how popular or distinctive a brand wishes to be, it cannot avoid the ‘all gold’ buyer segment. HYT, a rather new independent watch brand, since its inception has proudly built unique watches that do not use traditional methods of watchmaking, is going all out to appease the ‘traditional’ market. We are definitely not complaining ! Especially if the result is H1 Full Gold. At Baselworld 2016 HYT has launched a gorgeous Gold version of its H1 watch with black liquid to count passing hours.

The new Baselworld 2016 HYT H1 watch launch is not the first gold watch by the brand it has made watches before using gold. But this is the first gold watch by the brand to use its ‘Basel’ exclusive black liquid that does not get effected by UV rays and other factors that might effect its fluidity.

Like most HYT watches, this too is a limited edition watch. Limited to 50 pieces.

For the very first time at HYT, the capillary of the H1 Full Gold rests on a trough, hollowed into the case and entirely coated in Super-LumiNova (SLN). Consequently, when the light level starts to drop, the SLN comes into its own, bathing the capillary in green light from behind.

As the black liquid does not allow this light to pass through, only the translucent part of the capillary not yet filled with black fluid will be illuminated. The conclusion: the hour is read by combining the time elapsed… and the remaining time. This is a first for HYT – and probably a first in watchmaking as a whole.
