Launch, announced just before Baselworld 2015, the Apple watch will be discussed by nearly every attendee at the biggest swiss watch fair. It is not just another smart watch that can tell time, heart beats and caller details. It has a distinctive, utilitarian design, invented purely for the purpose of a ‘smart’ watch.
Apple Watch will be available for pre order from April 10. It will also be available for feel-in-flesh showcases, at Apple stores on the same day. Countries like the UK, US, Australia, China, France, Germany, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan will be able to purchase starting April 24.
Starting at a price of 349 USD Apple watch will come in three styles. Most expensive Apple watch will be Apple Edition watch starting price at nearly 10000 USD (upto 17000 USD). Apple Edition watch price in India will start from Rupees 626920 INR (+taxes). Apple Watch Sport, priced at $349 (in US) and $399 ( in US); Apple Watch, available from $549 (US) to $1,099 (US); and Apple Watch Edition, crafted from custom rose or yellow 18-karat gold alloys, with prices starting at $10,000.

We have seen many smart watches be presented, in the last few months, none, anticipated as much as the Apple watch. Android wear OS was launched. A new OS, tailor made purely for wearable tech. Android wear OS lead to several brands making many smart watches. All shapes were experimented with, square, rectangle, round, & not-quite-round! Nearly all were clones, with similar functionalities. I am an Android fan but the Android wear OS did not impress me as much as I wished, it did. There is a lot the idea of ‘smart’ watch can achieve. I hope Apple watch will be truly ‘smart’.
Baselworld 2015 will see another bundle of smart watches. Hopefully something different from what has already been seen before.
