True beauty of horological machines lies in manual winding calibers.

In an interview with me, sometime back, Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot said to me that Hublot is very serious about watch making and is not all about signing big brand ambassadors and making big dial watches. That proves true, especially with this Meca-10. It runs on entirely Hublot made machinery called HUB1201. This is a skeleton mechanical movement, which means you can admire the functional parts as you observe your passing time on this watch face.

The Hublot Big Bang Meca-10, as the name suggests can reserve mechanical power in the watch for good 10 days. You won’t need to charge the watch in 10 days once wound properly. Let us now explain the watch face to you. At 3 0’clock is the power reserve that will show you a red spot when there is only 2 days of power left on the Baselworld 2016 Hublot launch

At 6 o’clock is another power reserve indication for the exact no of days left to wind the watch. This Hublot mechanical Basel 2016 watch will be produced in 500 pieces only. The Hublot Big Bang Meca-10 is the “All Black” concept with a 45-mm diameter case and bezel in black ceramic alternating between micro-blasted and polished effects. This all black skeleton Hublot Big Bang watch will also be available in Titanium which is not a limited edition piece.
