Omega Butterfly Watch Hands on: Omega De Ville Butterfly Price, Pics

You might have already seen Nicole Kidman, flaunt the new Omega Butterfly Watch, at Seoul during the asian games. Nicole Kidman is Omega’s most valued female brand ambassador and a watch chosen to be promoted by her, must be special. Remember the Ladymatic watch with diamond bezel, generously advertised across all mediums? It’s promotion made Ladymatic, a sub brand name in itself. Now, Omega is all set to give ‘De Ville Butterfly’ line of watches the attention they deserve and make them equally or more popular as the De ville Ladymatic line.

NICOLE KIDMAN OMEGA BUTTERFLY WATCH

Both Ladymatic and Omega Butterfly watch series, have notably different styles. Omega Ladymatic is more on the classic style with a vintage aura because of its slightly thicker, yet delectable dials. Omega’s Baselworld 2014 De Ville Butterfly watches are more modern, sleek with light ornamentation.

I’v had the Omega Butterfly watches with me, for a while. I was simply lazy to write about them until I saw Nicole Kidman promote them, at Seoul. That made me jump and realise how late I was in writing my hands-on blog on the Omega Butterfly watches!

And so I took the two DeVille Butterfly watches with me, for a quick lunch (explains the presence of sandwiches in pics).

OMEGA BUTTERFLY WHITE WATCH PRICE BASELWORLD 2014 PRICE DEVILLE 09 The 2014 Omega watch Deville co-axial Prestige Butterfly watches come in three types of ‘mother of pearl’ dials. A selection of models is presented with a mother-of-pearl dial with a diamond-paved butterfly between 7 and 8 o’clock. Other timepieces are decorated with transferred butterflies with a matt outline against a mother-of-pearl background while a third design – found only on the models powered by a quartz calibre – makes use of a silvery or champagne dial whose unique butterfly pattern. All three dial designs are complemented with eight or nine diamond indexes.

The Omega Coaxial butterfly watches are accompanied with either matching white straps or rice grain bracelet. I, personally, prefer rice grain bracelet as it gives the watch an overall richer look. Love the steel and gold Omega bracelet on the 32.7mm dial, here. Leather white straps will suit a casual attire, more.

They are available in three sizes: 36.8 mm, 32.7 mm and 27.4 mm. Those seen on my wrist are 32.7mm dial models of Omega Butterfly gold watches. What I truly admire about Omega watches for women is that the swiss watch maker knows how to make these watches delicate and strong at the same time. Small lugs, soft ornamentation accompanied with avant-garde inside mechanic a.k.a. ‘Co-Axial’.

If you prefer Quartz (watches powered by battery), then go for 27.4mm dial models. Like me, if you prefer mechanical watches then Omega butterfly watch line has several options in 36.8mm and 32.7 mm dials.

All Omega Buttterfly watch Deville line is water resistant to 30 meters, only.
